New Year’s Resolutions: 5 Goals for Success in 2015

As we get closer to the end of the year, many of us often reflect on the past twelve months of our lives. We contemplate what we’ve accomplished, as well as what we want to achieve next year. Make 2015 the best year yet, with these five goals for success. 1. Health Whether you want to lose weight, get toned, run your first marathon or just have more energy it’s important to set short-term fitness goals for yourself. If that means no alcohol Monday-Friday or getting a personal trainer 3-4 times per week to get focused, you can make it happen. New Year’s Resolutions2. Money Make a conscious effort to bring as little debt with you into 2015 as possible by setting financial goals for yourself ahead of time. Pay off as much debt as you can prior to the New Year so that you can truly start fresh. Find a recommended financial advisor or use free resources like Bankrate.com or Debt.com to help put a plan in place. 3. Giving Step out of your comfort zone and get involved with a new group, local charity or professional networking association. If you’re not sure where to start, choose a topic you love and see what groups near you have the same interests. No matter what, making new connections builds confidence, improves social skills and inspires us to keep learning. 4. Happiness We all want less stress in our lives, but how do you really make it happen? Everyone is different, and in order to better understand what stresses you out and what calms you down listen to your body. Consider yoga, meditation or old fashion working out to see what works for you. 5. Relationships Professional and personal relationships are the most meaningful part of life. Challenge yourself to spend more quality time with family (even if they drive you crazy sometimes), write a hand-written thank you note to a client or mentor someone looking for guidance. Remember, it only takes 21 days to create a habit, so now’s the time to commit. Write down your goals and make 2015 the best year of your life! What’s at the top of your list?
