About Dell’Amore pasta sauce:

Our grandmother, Filomena, was born December 5, 1895. She grew up in the town of Agropoli, in the Campania region of southern Italy. The photograph of Filomena on our label was taken in 1914. Filomena emigrated to the U.S. in 1924. She settled in Brooklyn, NY and raised a family there. Her children and grandchildren swore she was the best cook in the world. The love and care that grandmother Filomena put into her cooking has become a family tradition and a trademark of Dell’Amore pasta sauce today.

We began bottling her signature marinara under the Dell’Amore name in 1986, making us one of the of early pioneers of premium, authentic pasta sauce being sold to the public. Dell’Amore sauces continue to win accolades from customers and food critics alike. And the rest, as they say, is history.

What People Say about Dell’Amore

My husband and I lived in Switzerland for many years, and after being back in the U.S., only got some REALLY good prepared sauce when we found YOURS! Before finding your brand, I always made it from scratch, with plum tomatoes, butter, garlic, olive oil, and basil, plus a few other spices.

My husband cannot eat onions, so the added advantage to your very fresh tasting sauce, is that it DOESN’T have them. In Europe, there are lots of options of prepared food WITHOUT onions, but in the U.S., there are hardly any. Your sauce has made my life MUCH easier. Please NEVER change it!! Please NEVER stop making it!! I use it for pastas, pizza, salad dressing, and for Middle Eastern foods.

It’s absolutely WONDERFUL!

I am Italian and I love to cook. My family and friends repeatedly ask me to make them my Italian tomato sauce and meatballs. I’m considered the one who makes the best tomato sauce of all my sisters, as it’s most like my Mom’s and my Noni’s (Grandma). All good cooks look for a good backup for when we’re in a pinch. I liked the name “Dell’Amore,” with the picture of the lovely Italian woman on the label, so thought I’d try it. Well – I couldn’t be more surprised ! Their tomato marinara was not only good, it was positively delicious and I must say – even better than mine !!! I even bought lots of jars of this Dell’Amore sauce and gave them to my sisters! We all love it! I use tomatoes in so many recipes and now I have it instantly at my finger tips so I don’t have to cut and chop and simmer sauce all day for that same flavor!!! I’m hooked. I never shop without picking up at least 6 jars of Dell’Amore sauce. I never want to be without it !
