She is the author of Winning the Toughest Customer; the Essential Guide to Selling to Women. In 2002, she formed Medelia Inc. which has worked with 30%+ of Fortune 500 companies to support their efforts to increase sales and loyalty among women. In 2007, Medelia partnered with the Wharton School of Business to conduct the first ever gender-based customer satisfaction study. The groundbreaking results supported the launch of WomenCertified, home of the Women’s Choice Award, as well as set the foundation for the our research process to determine brands and businesses that qualify for the Women’s Choice Award. The founder of WomenCertified, Delia Passi, is the former publisher of Working Mother and Working Woman magazines, a leading speaker on the women’s market, an author, and a lifelong advocate for women. She has dedicated most of her career to helping businesses understand the needs and preferences of the female consumer.
She wrote Winning the Toughest Customer, the Essential Guide to Selling to Women. She recognized that selling to women is different than selling to men. Through empowering salespeople to deliver a great customer experience for women, she was in turn helping women have a better buying experience. When she left publishing, Delia made a commitment to educate Corporate America in how to provide female customers with a better experience, leading to the creation of WomenCertified.
On a personal note, she is mother of three daughters as well as a step-daughter, which further fueled her passion to give women a collective voice and one that will empower them to make smart choices.
